BRYANT, Louis Victor


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/07/2005 Louis Victor Bryant, 80, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 in Oakley, Idaho. He was born Nov. 29, 1924 in Snowflake to Roy and Ada Ramsay Bryant. Louis attended school in both Snowflake and Round Valley. In 1942 he joined the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theatre. During the war he contracted a lung disease, which ultimately contributed, to his death. After the war he moved to Idaho and went to work for his Uncle Reed Bryant at Bryant Meat Packing for several years. Louis later went into business for himself with a mobile meat packing truck. Louis met Rose Anna Hintz and they were married July 27, 1948 in Elko, Nevada, they had five children together, they later divorced. Louis also worked in Oakley at a feedlot until he retired. He married Connie Kay Roberts April 21, 1982. Louis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and mostly fishing. Louis is survived by his children, Jerry, Alan, Randy, JeanAnn and Carol Sue; five of grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Valoe) Bryant of Linden and George Bryant of Snowflake; sisters, Ruby Brimhall and Hazel Pearl (Darrell) Brimhall all of Snowflake; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at Payne Mortuary, 221 W. Main Street, Burley, Idaho 83318.
