Harvey Williams Haws, lifelong resident of Eagar, died at Navapache Regional Medical Center Oct. 8, 2005, after a short bout with Lymphoma. He was 67.
Harvey was born March 30, 1938, in Eagar, the fifth and last child of Carl Lenard and Atella Wiltbank Haws. He grew up loving animals and his friends in Round Valley. Harvey started the very first Sanitary Waste Service in the area and operated it for many years. In the past few years he enjoyed working in the White Mountain Regional Medical CenterĂs Hospital Auxiliary and the White Mountain Historical Society and being part of the Round Valley Senior Citizen Center.
His survivors include his sister Waity Skym, Wentworth, Mo., and many cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous friends. His surviving family wishes to express to all of his friends and associates, their gratitude for your goodness to him throughout the years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl and Atella Haws and siblings, Dorothy Slade, C.L. (Buzz) Haws, and Sara Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the White Mountain Regional Hospital Auxiliary or the White Mountain Historical Society.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center in Eagar.
