SCOVEL,
William L., II
The White Mountain Independent,
Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/28/2005
William L Scovel II went home to the Lord Oct. 20,2005 due to heart failure. Bill's heart may have been physically fragile, but it was also made of gold.
Bill gave 32 years of loyal service to the City of Tempe. He, his wife Cherma, and lifelong friends, William and Patsy Bucher, retired to Concho. after enjoying extensive travel throughout Arizona. Bill had a great love of family and friends. You never left his presence without at least a hug and some gentle teasing. In fact, teasing is one of Bill's most memorable traits. Bill enjoyed life and always made the best of what life had to offer. Wherever he met a stranger, there he left a friend.
Bill was preceded in death by his sons, Jason and William III.
He is survived by his wife, Cherma; his children: Delores(Mike), Jacqueline (Bobby), Benjamin and John Michael; grandchildren Mark (Sissy), John (Shawnah), Chelin, Shalee, Ryan, Joe, Ben and Nora; great-grandchildren Mark, Barbara, Kayla, William, Alona, Harley and Hailey; brother, Robert (Rick) and a host of family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., October 29th at the Spirit of Life Church, 1855 N. Scottsdale Rd. (McKellips to Scottsdale Rd., directly behind Joanne's). Call the church at 480-947-9451 for floral deliveries.
