The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/28/2005 Loretta Adeline Cooper, 72, died Oct. 23, 2005 in Show Low. She was born to Carl and Pearl (Benton) Laughlin Jan. 2, 1933 in Quinton, Okla., the oldest of nine children, and went to school in Quinton. She came to Arizona in 1957 and to Show Low in 1986. She was a lifelong homemaker. She married Carl Cooper Sept. 22, 1948 in Oklahoma. She loved camping, fishing, playing softball, and the Arizona Diamondbacks. She was very devoted to her grandchildren, and a member of the First Baptist Church in lower Miami. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Carl of Show Low; two daughters Treva (Roger) Stewart of Cement, Okla. and Lisa (Dave) Cooper Burmeister of Show Low; one son Duane (Ruthie) Cooper of Canada; four sisters Leena (Scottie) Green of Ft. Cobb, Okla., Bernice (Arthur) Coats of Hinton, Okla., Gail (Larry) Warren of Lookeba, Okla. and Carolyn Sue (Larry) Butler of Sapulpa, Okla.; two brothers Alfred Wiles of Hinton, Okla. and Troy (Sandra) of Hinton, Okla.; and her stepfather Isaac Wiles of Hinton, Okla. She is also survived by four granddaughters Tracy (Tommy) Duncan of Cement, Okla., Kyla Cooper of Canada, Jessica (Stratton) Gore of Globe and Steffani Mink of Mesa; one grandson Bryan (Tabby) Stewart of Cheyenne, Okla.; one great-grandson Rusty Duncan of Cement, Okla; three great-granddaughters Cheyane Duncan of Cement, Okla., Bryanna Stewart of Cheyenne, Okla. and Sadie Stewart of Cheyenne, Okla., and a very large extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers Kenneth Laughlin and Thomas Wiles. Private memorial services will be held. Arrangements were handled by Black's Mortuary of Show Low.
