Roderick Shawn Morris, 27, of Joseph City, died Oct. 24, 2005 in Tucson. 
      
Roderick grew up in Joseph City, and graduated at Joseph City High school in 1997. Roderick worked as a welder in various places around the states. He was involved in 4-H, Western Junior Rodeo Association, Arizona High School Rodeo and loved to rodeo on the Apache Reservation. Roderick enjoyed team roping and riding bulls. He also enjoyed training horses and entertaining his cousins.
      
He is survived by his parents, Robert and JoAnn Smith of Joseph City, Bernice Nelson of Joseph City; sisters, Acelena Smith of Washington, Veronica Nelson, Mervine and Mervina Nelson, all of Joseph City; one brother, Bryant Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandparents, Christian and Helen Morris of Joseph City. Roderick will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
      
Funeral services were held in Joseph City Oct. 29. Donations are welcome.
