Steven A. Mattson, 62, died Nov. 12, 2005 at his home in Snowflake.
He was born in Seattle, Wash., June 22, 1943. Steven was kind, big hearted and loved doing things for others. No one was a stranger to him, just a potential friend. He loved cooking, boating, jet skiing, camping, traveling and just getting in the car and going.
Steven was a Merchant Marine and had served two years in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Boilermakers LOCAL 502 out of Washington where he was a welder. He had worked all over and was very proud to have worked on all three units of the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant.
Steven is survived by his wife, Ann; son Jacob, two daughters, Silver and Cindy mother and stepfather, Silver and Gene Sprout; sister, Connie Plum; brother, Paul Teeter; nephew, Kirt Jones; two nieces, Charlene Babbel and Sheryl Proctor.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
