DARGIE, Donald Arthur


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/18/2005 Donald Arthur Dargie, 72, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at Navapache Regional Medical Center in Show Low. He was born Nov. 16, 1932 in Williams, Ariz. to Donald Alexander and Anna Marie Dargie. Donald served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1972. He enjoyed many occupations after he retired from the military. He was the St. Johns Marshall, worked for Patterson Motors, the Apache County Sheriff's Office, and operated a Sears store, worked at Napa Auto Parts and was in newspaper distribution. His survivors include his wife, Verena, St. Johns; sons, David A. (Peggy) Dargie, Mesa; Marvin Scott (Patty) Dargie, Payson, Utah; daughters, Daphne M. (Trent) Jackson, Clay Springs; Joyce Lynn (Danny) Manning, Orem, Utah; Stephane Ann (Eric) Warren, Chino Valley; 29 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Donna Jane Dargie Stradling. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Downtown Chapel, St. Johns. Friends and family may call between 12-1 p.m.Internment will follow at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled the arrangements.
