MARTINEZ, Maria Louisa (Linda)

Copper Basin News Hayden, Ariz. 6/16/2010 Linda Martinez, 83, born Maria Louisa Garcia, passed away at her home in Winkelman on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Linda was born on August 15, 1926 to Ralph and Dolores Garcia in Winkelman. She was a homemaker who loved the company and laughs of her immediate and extended family. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her three daughters, Eva (Joe) Arbizo of Aravaipa, Mary Dee (David) Lagunas of Winkelman, and Edna (Homer) Ortega of Dudleyville, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; her sister, Betty (Pancho) Guzman of Dudleyville; and, her brothers, Raymond (Isabel) Garcia, Louis (Vada) Garcia both of Winkelman, and Richard (Cecilia) Garcia of Tucson. Preceding her in death was her husband of almost 60 years, Eloy Martinez; her grandson, Aaron D. Lagunas; brothers, Ralph, Manuel, and Adam Joe, as well as her sisters, Tessie and Evita. Church services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 16. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Father James Aboyi. Interment was held at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.
