LANGFORD, Gordon Bedford


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/02/2005 Gordon Bedford Langford died Nov. 18, 2005. Gordon was born in Great Lakes, Ill. July 14, 1948 to Byron and Bernadine Langford. Gordon served an LDS mission in Helsinki, Finland. He married his sweetheart, Lynette Pace, Nov. 25, 1972, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Gordon was the father of many great inventions and was known as "Heber's Own Nutty Professor." His motto was: "Don't worry. Be happy!" and he lived by it! Gordon was currently serving as a "conversational" Finnish teacher to the Elders in the Missionary Training Center in Provo. Gordon enjoyed all sporting events but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Gordon is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lynette; eight children, Brandon (Staci), Demi, Shaylene (Woody) Woodward, Elisha (Damon) Hudson, Brittany (Nick) Long, Devin, Tyler, and Ashley; nine grandchildren Madison, Hunter, Anna, Brenna, Gavin, Pierce, Paige, Hayden and Ashlynn; a brother and three sisters Marcie Phillips, Steve Langford, Julie Petit, and Karen Gay. Gordon was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy; a nephew, Jason; and his parents. Viewing was held Wednesday, Nov. 23 in the Charleston Ward. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 25, viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with funeral services in the Charleston Ward; 3423 S 3500 W, Charleston, Utah.
