Theresa Yazzie, age 48, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 in Holbrook.
She was born in Whitecone on the Navajo Indian Reservation to Henry and Stella Yazzie. Theresa was born to the Coyote Pass Clan and the Walking Around Tower House Clan. When she was 7-years-old the family moved to Lower Greasewood. She attended Greasewood Boarding School.
Theresa was a homemaker and a rug weaver in the Navajo way. She also learned the art of Kachina carving. Theresa loved her children and taught them how to take care of themselves.
Theresa is survived by her daughters, Clarissa Yazzie of Lower Greasewood, Michelle Cowboy of Holbrook; sons, Christopher Yazzie, Clifton Yazzie and Carlton Yazzie all of Holbrook; parents, Henry and Stella Yazzie of Greasewood; brothers, Wilbert, Jespert and Delbert Yazzie all of Greasewood; sisters, Nora Yazzie, Geraldine Yazzie and Alta Roan all of Greasewood.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at the Greasewood Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
