William 'Mark' Westfall
Mark Westfall, 47, died Nov. 30, 2005 in Flagstaff.
He was born in Berea, Ohio and moved to Arizona eight years ago. He was an art teacher at White Cone High School and had taught many years at Snowflake and Show Low High Schools. He was a former football coach for the Lobos at Snowflake and saw them all the way to the State Finals. Mark was always ingenious and actually invented the football kicking aid and recently had it patented.
He was also a children's book writer and illustrated his books. Mark was a gifted poet, song writer and artist, who left many of his works of art scattered throughout Snowflake, Taylor and Show Low areas and has murals in an Ohio museum. He married Amber Dec. 31, 1995 in Covington, Ky. He was a great father, husband and friend to all.
Mark is survived by his wife, Amber of White Mountain Lake; three sons, Samson Fredrick Westfall and Josh Atanovich both of White Mountain Lake and Robert Reigner of Phoenix; his father, Robert (Nancy) of Dayton, Ohio; his mother, Patricia Westfall of Tucson; two brothers, Eric Westfall of Tokyo, Japan and Jon Westfall of Tucson; one sister, Christine Day of Dayton, Ohio; one nephew, Ethan Westfall and his mom and dad-in-law, Maureen and Fred Sirianni.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taylor Love Lake Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests blood donations to your local blood banks.
