The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/20/2005 John T. Crosby, 90, of Mesa, died Dec. 17, 2005 after a long illness. John was born in Ramah, New Mexico March 20, 1915. He lived most of his life in St. Johns, where he served in Apache County Government for many years. He served as Sheriff from 1950 to 1954 and later as Clerk of the Superior Court until he retired in 1981. He loved the people of St. Johns and of Apache County. His survivors include his wife of almost 70 years, Norma Crosby; brother, Frank Crosby; seven children, Steve Crosby (Sharon), Ken Crosby (Pam), Sarah Jean Gray (Lamar), Elliot Crosby (Karen), Norman Crosby (Leisa), Carla Sharp (John), and Annette Shreeve (Tim); 42 grandchildren and 89 great grand children. His daughter Norma, and one great grandchild preceded him in death. Visitation will be held Dec.22 at the St. Johns Stake Center at 9 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m. Internment will be at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns, handled the arrangements
