PEMBERTON, Norah

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Saturday, October 24, 2009 Norah Pemberton, 83, passed away on Oct. 13, 2009, at her residence in Lake Havasu City. She was born on April 28, 1926, in Coppull, England, to James and Florrie (Wilcock) Pemberton. Norah moved to Lake Havasu City 25 years ago from California. She retired from Hughes Aircraft as a business administrator in 1988. Norah volunteered over a decade of her time at St. Vincent De Paul and was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her family. Norah is survived by her son, Phil; daughters, Andrea Strenkowski Dixon and husband Wayne, and Lisa Wise; sister, May Saunders; grandchildren, Michael C. Strenkowski, Nichole J. Wise, Nicole Dixon Velazquez and husband Ernesto, and great-grandchildren; J.D. Sherrill, Riley Sherrill, and Logan A. Wise. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Hayes. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that donations be made to the Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ. 86404, or New Hope Hospice, 500 N.
