Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, October 19, 2009 Glenn J. Morse passed away Oct. 13, 2009, at Havasu Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 29,1924, in Chicago, Ill. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served from Aug. 5, 1942, to Aug. 20, 1945. He was a landscape architect and general contractor for 30 years in San Diego County, Calif. Glenn had a stroke in February 1982, and moved to Lake Havasu City in September 1988. Even with his right side paralysis and limited speech, Glenn always had a smile and an “are you fine?” and “love you very much” for all who knew him. Glenn moved to Jasmine House Assisted Living in August 2002, and was a resident until he passed away. He enjoyed the many residents there and was very grateful for all the love and attention he received from the staff. Glenn enjoyed watching the Diamondbacks and nature channels on TV. He truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Lake Havasu City and was most happy when out for a drive and parking down by Rotary Park admiring the water and the mountains. Glenn remains a dearly beloved father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his daughters; Kathy Jensen, Maryann Morse, Evie Moffit (Nick), and Susan Bird; son, Michael Morse; sister, Jean Browne; grandchildren, Tracy Jensen, Matt Jensen and Sara Bird; and caregivers and friends of many years, Chuck and Judy Rodgers. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, William Morse. A special thanks to Chuck and Judy Rodgers, to whom we are eternally grateful for the great friendship and care they gave Glenn and a sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of Havasu Regional Medical Center for being so helpful and caring to Glenn. Glenn will be missed by his family and friends and the many folks who knew and admired him for accepting the challenges he dealt with for so many years.
