Marianne O. Cyr, 94, passed away Sept. 16, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. She was born July 29, 1915, in Oshkosh, Wis., to Leo and Pauline (Schoenek) Savinske.
Marianne moved to Lake Havasu City 37 years ago, from Milwaukee, Wis. She worked as a technician for Globe Union. Marianne was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church for many years. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge since 1982.
Marianne is survived by her nieces, Janice Monroe; and husband, Russel, of Wisconsin; Janet Rollman, of Minnesota, Nancy Koss and husband Bob, of Wisconsin, Mary Ostermeyer and husband Fred, of Idaho; nephews, John Horgan and wife Connie, of Idaho, Charles Horgan and wife Andrea, of Idaho, Mike Muller and wife Lee, of Hawaii, Daniel Savinske and wife Deborah, of Missouri; and also her “adopted” families, the Kalin’s, Gene, Diane, Jessica, and Leah; and the Bradley’s, Mike, Jennifer and Blake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Egan and second husband, Armond Cyr; brothers, Robert Muller and George Savinske; sisters, Ruth Horgan and Eleanor Hittoe; and nephew, Joe Muller.
Marianne was truly a remarkable and loving person, and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
A small service for Marianne will be at the yellow lighthouse on the Island Saturday, at 1 p.m.
