Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, October 13, 2009 Leroy Dwight Simpson, born in Hollywood, Calif., a native citizen of Boulder City, Nev., and a current resident of Lake Havasu City, passed away at age 67 in his home on Monday morning, Oct. 12, 2009. Leroy entered the world on April 14, 1942, born to parents Bernice Irene Geiger and Robert Marshall Simpson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, his sole lifetime partner Joyce Ann Simpson, and their three children, Jon Simpson, of Bullhead City, Ariz.; Kourtney Burger, of South Bend, Wash., and Victoria Jones with her husband Bill, of Hesperia, Calif. He leaves behind his quartet of adoring brothers, Randy Simpson, of British Columbia, Canada; Brian Wood, of Boulder City, Jamie Wood, of Apple Valley, Calif., and Steven Wood, of Elk Grove, Calif. Further succeeding him are his eight grandchildren, Sean Simpson, Stephanie Simpson, Brianna Simpson, Kristian Burger, Dakota Burger, Rose Burger Katelyn Jones and Clinton Jones; along with many nieces and nephews, countless friends and distant, but loving, relatives. Leroy is preceded in death by his well-loved mother Bernice Irene Wood and his beloved brother, Jeffrey Wood. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Oct. 16, at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, Nev. Funeral services will be held at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway Henderson, Oct. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to l:30 p.m. Internment to follow at Boulder City Cemetery.
