The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/13/2006 Vivian Rosa Lee Peters Reynolds Vivian Rosa Lee Peters died peacefully Jan. 8, 2006 in Longview, Washington. Rosa Lee was born April 24, 1934, in Luna, New Mexico, to Vivian and John Peters. She married Elmer David Reynolds, Sept. 4, 1954, in the Mesa LDS Temple for time and all eternity. They were blessed with five beautiful daughters. Rosa Lee's pride and joy in life came from her family. Her children and grandchildrens' activities and interests were very important to her and she supported them in all they did. Rosa Lee loved working with children. She worked as a teacher's aid for several years with special needs children and enjoyed watching them progress. Her grand-daughter, Halsey was a delight to her and holds a special place in her heart. Rosa Lee loved her Heavenly Father and spent her life serving Him and others. She served in many church callings, including Primary President, Relief Society President and later in life as a nursery teacher (which was her favorite). She and David served an LDS mission as temple workers in the Washington, D.C. Temple which they thoroughly enjoyed. Rosa Lee leaves a legacy of love and caring to be exemplified by all. Her family gains comfort in knowing she is free from pain and looking down on us now as we strive to follow her example. Rosa Lee is survived by her husband, David, and daughters, Marilyn (Val) Bonnett, Davina (Jeff) Bethel, Karla (Mike) Hinckley, Gayla Reynolds, and Lori (Brian) Ward; 17 grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Suzanne, Jacqui, David, Lacey, Jeff, Angela, Katie, Sarah, Spencer, Kellen, Stanton, Kyla, Halsey, Camille and Baylee, and one great-grandson, Talan. She is also survived by three sisters, Nona, Lily, and Arlene, and five brothers, Roland, Lonny, Wayne, Keith, and Bobby. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, John Derl (Buster). Funeral services will be held in the Eagar Stake Center Chapel Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. Friends and family may call from noon-12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church.
