Mary Catherine Houser, 82, of Mayer, Ariz., born Oct. 26, 1927, in Wilkinsburg, Pa., passed away June 4, 2010.

Mary Catherine Houser died June 4, 2010, at her home in Mayer. She was 82 years old. Mary was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Wilkinsburg, Pa., daughter of Theodore and Frances Allison Gilbert.
Mary was a singer in Phoenix, singing Big Band music. Robert and Mary ran their tax business, Upland Service Company. She was a member of the Balsz School District Board, president of the Balsz District PTA and formed two Campfire troops, one for each daughter. Mary was secretary of the Yavapai Hills Lions and chairman of Mayer Days Parade from 1981-1983. Mary was a member of the Northern Arizona Genealogical Society.
Mary is survived by her loving husband. Robert Houser, of 43 years; daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Golden of Phoenix, Lori Cline of Mayer and Carol Houser-Myers; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her half-brother William A. Thoma.
