The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday June 2, 2010 Sam D. Nesvig, 72, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away May 27, 2010, at home surrounded by family. He was born in Grand Forks, N.D., on Oct. 28, 1937, to Jerome and Ruby (Rensland) Nesvig. He had nine brothers and sisters. He was married Feb. 10, 1960, to LaDell Lomsdal. Sam has resided in the Prescott area since 1981 after moving from Williston, N.D. He was in the construction field until his retirement. Sam is survived by many family members who will miss him immensely. They include his wife of 50 years, LaDell; children Shawn of Williston, N.D., Denise (Russ) of Williston, N.D., Todd of Prescott, Ariz., and Ryan (Jennifer) of Prescott Valley; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Ruby, of Buxton, N.D.; seven brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Sam was preceded in death by his father, Jerome.
