BURNETT, Alice

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday June 1, 2010 Alice Burnett, 81, died peacefully under God's gentle hand on May 29, 2010, in the Hospice Family Care facility in Prescott, Ariz. She had been living in Prescott for almost five years, having moved from Mesa to be close to her two daughters, Pastor Jane Cheek of Prescott and Linda Petersen of Chino Valley. Alice's son, Dallas, lives in Wichita, Kan.; he recently visited Prescott to spend time with his mother. Alice was a beautiful, loving mom, grandma, and aunt, and she leaves a large open space in the hearts of many who knew her, including sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a wide circle of lifelong friends and a church full of new friends. A Celebration of the Life of Alice Burnett is scheduled for 2:30 pm Thursday, June 3, at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 216 E. Gurley Street, Prescott.
