Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Jesus "Jess" Ramirez Garcia (October 16, 1921 - June 17, 2010) Jesus “Jess” Ramirez Garcia, 88, died Thursday June 17th, 2010 in Flagstaff. Jesus was born October 16th, 1921 in Jalisco, Mexico, and moved to Flagstaff at 6 months of age, where he lived the rest of his life. He served overseas in the Air Force during World War II. After serving he worked for Southwest Forest Industries, until he retired in 1989. He married the love of his life, Inez Gutierrez on February 13th, 1954. He enjoyed gardening in Cornville, wood cutting, reading, hunting, and loved spending as much time as he could outdoors. Jesus is survived by his wife Inez, children Ron, Annette (Bill), and Donna (Dennis), grandchildren Bridget, Jessica (Justin), Kelsey, Seth, and Faith, siblings Mitchell, Sally, Lupe, and many loving relatives and friends. Jesus was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Polina and brother Rudy. Holy Rosary and Vigil service will be Friday evening at 7pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am also at the church. Burial with military honors will conclude services at the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Garcia’s name to the American Heart Association.
