Lilly Belle Peters, 79, passed away on Sept. 15, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Sept. 30, 1929, in Sterling, Colo., to Ray and Evelyn (Swan) Mangum.
Lilly Belle was a snowbird, spending summers in Jackson, Wyo., and winters here in Lake Havasu City for the last 24 years. She and her husband Robert owned and operated a waste management business and also worked at Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum. Lilly Belle worked at Sunrise Service Bureau in Lake Havasu City and was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #2399.
Lilly Belle is survived by her son, Bill Peters, of Jackson, Wyo.; daughter, Shelly Martinez (Corky Davis), of Thayne, Wyo.; brother, David Mangum (Renee), of Island Park, Idaho; sisters, Marjorie Reich (Walt), of Rigby, Idaho, Pauline Leeper (Bill), of Thayne, Wyo., Trudy Getty, of Thayne, Wyo., and Susan Getty, of Torrington, Wyo.; grandchildren, Gabe Peters (Ericka), of Farmington, N.M., and Simon Martinez, of Greely, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Vincent Peters.
Lilly Belle was well known for her beautiful handwork and wonderful hot rolls.
