Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, September 17, 2009 Bryan Baker passed away on Sept. 12, 2009, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. He was born to Dale and Ina (McCloud) Baker. Following high school, Bryan enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving six years and being honorably discharged as a Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class. After his service, Bryan went to work for Northrup, where he helped design the prototype of the Boeing 747. Bryan then moved to Lake Havasu City in 1971 where he went to work for the McCulloch Corp. Bryan ended a successful career at McCulloch Corpo. as a tool-and-die maker in 1994. Throughout his life, he loved the outdoors: camping, hunting, hiking and fishing. He entered into several fishing tournaments, placing in some of these tournaments. One of his favorite quotes was, “You can lead me for miles, but you can’t push me an inch.” Bryan Baker is and will always be a special man in the eyes of his family and friends; he was a faithful husband, loving father, proud grandpa and an honest friend to everyone. He always gave the best advice and guidance to all that asked him. Bryan will be missed by all. Bryan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna; daughter, Sally Meaney and her husband John of Lake Bay, Wash.; sons, David of Belleville, Ill., and Tim of Manhattan, Kan.; five grandchildren, Leia, Rachael, Sarah, Ashley and Trevor. Bryan is also survived by his mother, Ina Baker; sister, Marilyn Lovelace; brothers, Dwight Baker and Jerry Baker. He is predeceased by his father Dale and two sisters. Close friends are Gary and Susie Wolf, Sandy LaRoche and Dan Campbell, Carlos and Debbie Martin, Bill and Pam Kaufman, his NPG Cable family, and so many others. For those that would like to honor Bryan and help celebrate his life, there will be an informal get-together of friends and family at the London Bridge Resort, Sunset Room on Sept. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. Please park in the upper parking lot off of McCulloch Boulevard if you plan to attend this celebration of Bryan’s life.
