The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/17/2006 Edward William Harry 87, died peacefully Jan. 7, 2006, with family and friends by his side. Formally from Cleveland, Ohio, Ed served in the Coast Guard. In 1956, Ed discovered the beauty of Arizona in a Jeep and decided to call Tucson his home. An Engineer for Hughes Aircraft, he retired to the White Mountains. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and boating. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Harry; his sister-in-law Bonnie McGregor, children; Patty Placencia, Neil Harry, Jacqui Harry, Celeste Stine, Mark Barnes, Philip Barnes, grandchildren; Joanna Dakes-Gregory, Dianna Deniz, Morgan Barnes, Jacqueline Barnes, Jenna Barnes, Matthew Barnes, great grandson; Jordan Barnes, a dear cousin Stephanie Woods and many extended family members and good friends. His love, strength, and courage will live forever in our memories. A memorial will be held in the White Mountains at Ed's favorite fishing spot in the spring. In his memory, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
