The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/27/2006 John Woodrow South, Jr., 38, a Tucson resident, went to be with God very unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Jan. 19, 2006 in Tucson. He was born July 13, 1967 in Phoenix. He was a graduate of Cortez High School in Phoenix, and also attended Scottsdale Community College where he studied culinary arts. He is survived by his lifetime companion, Jose R. Ortega, and Diane Russell, both of Tucson; grandmother Lucille Kaelke Cantrell; parents John and Marilyn South; brothers David W. South and Christopher W. South, all of Phoenix. Memorial services were held Monday, Jan. 23 at the Glendale Nazarene Church 5902 W Cactus Rd. in Glendale. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery of Tucson.
