The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/27/2006 Nora Nashio Gregg Cromwell, beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was born May 30, 1905, she went to be with God Jan. 20, 2006. On Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m., horseback riders will escort Nora's body from the Cibecue Cottonwood Gymnasium to Idella Gregg's residence for a two-night wake, and funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 29 at the Cibecue Cottonwood Gymnasium at 10 a.m. Riders on horseback will escort Nora' body from the Cottonwood Gymnasium to the Gregg family plot located in upper Cibecue at the Sunshine graveyard. She is survived by one brother, Walter Nashio Sr., daughters Edith Bread, Idella Gregg, Marina Allen, and Eugenia Kirkwood; step-daughter, Amelia Gregg Patterson; god-daughters Cora Josay, Lela Alsenay, and Patsy Tenijieth, 42 grandchildren; 137 great-grandchildren, 155 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Lanford Allen, and Chris Kirkwood; two daughters-in-law Marie D. Gregg, and Rena D. Gregg. She was preceded in death by her sons George Gregg, Sr., Wilson Gregg, Sr., Warner Gregg, Lawrence Peaches, and Clarence Peaches, step-brother Milton White, step-son, Graham Gregg, and god-daughter, Ella Duryea. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
