CHAVEZ, Bernadette (Bernie)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/03/2006 Bernadette "Bernie" Chavez, 47, died Jan. 28, 2006 at the Navapache Regional Medical Center in Show Low, as a result of a vehicle accident. Bernie was born in St. Johns Sept. 29, 1958 to Horace and Adeline Chavez. Bernie was employed with Tucson Electric Power. She enjoyed skiing and photography. She was a avid Raiders fan. Bernie loved spoiling her many nieces and nephews and was a wonderful, loving sister. She also was the primary caregiver for both her parents. Her survivors include her mother Adeline Chavez, St. Johns; and brothers Greg Sr. (Lillian), St. Johns; Lloyd (Michelle), Globe; and Luke (Carla), Safford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her father and grandparents preceded her in death. Rosary was recited Wednesday, Feb. 1, with a funeral Mass held Thursday, Feb. 2. Both were at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns was entrusted with the arrangements.
