The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/17/2006 Anda Peterson Crowell, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 14 at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Anda was born April 15, 1924 in Shumway to Lamar Andelin Peterson and Bessie Rose "Rhoton" Peterson. She married Melvin Alvin Crowell in Long Beach, Calif. June 20, 1943. Anda has always been a loving and caring mother to her own children and grandchildren and to children that were not of her own blood. She was an angel sent from heaven for many that have come and gone in her life. She will be missed and was loved by all. Anda is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Columbia and children Chad and Rochelle; great-grandson Chase; Anda's son, Jason Robert Crowell (Carine), their three children Dimity, Samantha and Jarred; three brothers Scott, Jack, Deri and four sisters, Marilyn, Virginia, Bessie, and Judy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mel; companion, Harry (Byke); three brothers, Larry, Lorenzo, Keith, and one sister Sandra. Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Lakeside Chapel, with a viewing at 9 a.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.
