DOUROS, Mitro Mary

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/21/2006 Mitro Mary Douros, 78, died Feb. 12, 2006 in Pinetop. Douros was born Sept. 28, 1927 in Williams. She grew up in McNary, Arizona and upon graduation she worked for Southwest Lumber Mills until 1961 when she moved to Joseph City, and began working for Arizona Public Service. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, picnics, walking and reading. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by Rolf Hunt, of Joseph City; Helen (Larry) Penrod of Phoenix; Athena Olmstead of Pinetop; Phil Douros of Fremont, Calif.; Tommy (Carmen) Douros of Lakeside; Don (Emma) of Pinetop; Roy "Kenny" (Barbara) Douros of Lakeside; Kathryn Douros of Lakeside; Marianna Douros of Lakeside; Reuben Douros of Buckeye. She was preceded in death by John Douros, father; Louise Douros, mother; Neal Douros, brother; and Annette Olmstead, sister. Douros has 34 nieces and nephews, 40 great nieces and nephews and three, great-great nieces and nephews. She was loved very much and will be missed greatly by family and everybody who knew her.
