The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/24/2006 Frank Garcia, 66, died Feb. 19, 2006. Frank was born to Lorenzo and Sofia Garcia Dec. 31, 1939 at Concho. He spent most of his young life at Concho before moving to Bagdad and hiring on at the Cyprus Mine. He retired from the mines after spending 30 years there and moved back to Concho. Frank loved children, especially his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He liked the outdoors. His survivors include sons Mark (Rosemary) Garcia, Chino Valley; Kristopher (Kristie) Garcia, Bagdad; daughters Marnie Garcia, Gillette, Wyo.; daughter-in-law Stacie Garcia, Vernal Utah; brothers Libor Garcia, Concho and Ted Garcia, Concho; and sisters Saferina McMillan, Concho; and Pauline Mewhinney, Cottonwood; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. His parents, a son, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Rosary will be recited Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m at St. Rafael Catholic Church, Concho. A funeral mass will follow Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns has been entrusted with the arrangements.
