Due to the death of his uncle, Lincoln Hayes left for his home in North Carolina Tuesday morning. Lincoln has attended the local grammar school for the past three years. Members of the seventh and eighth grades went to the train to see him off and presented him with many gifts of remembrance.

C. M. Creedmore Dies in Arizona
Remains Expected to Arrive in Statesville Thursday or Friday
Went West for His Health Two Years Ago
Mr Columbus M Creedmore, 56 years of age, died Sunday morning at 11:30 at Wickenburg, Arizona, according to a telegram received by his brother, Mr F E Creedmore, of Statesville.
The remains, accompanied by Mrs Creedmore and adopted son, are expected to arrive in Statesville Thursday or Friday of this week. Funeral plans were incomplete today.
Mr Creedmore and family went West for his health two years ago. He was born and reared in Cool Spring township, being a son of the late N C Creedmore and Caroline Creedmore. He leaves his widow, Mrs Martha Fox Creedmore, formerly of this county, and an adopted son, Lincoln Hayes Creedmore. He is survived also by three brothers and a sister.
Mr F E Creedmore, of Statesville; Mrs A R Cheek, of Cool Spring township; Mr Marshall Creedmore, of Bethany township; and Mr W D Creedmore, of New Jersey.
