GUILD, Gary Arthur


Today's News-Herald, Lake havasu City, Arizona Published Saturday, October 3, 2009 Oct. 10, 1944 – Oct. 1, 2009 Gary Arthur Guild, 64, passed away on Oct. 1, 2009, in Kingman. Gary was born on Oct. 10, 1944, in Williamsport, Pa., to Jack and Betty (Ryder) Guild. After graduating from high school, Gary enlisted in the United States Navy Reserves, proudly serving his country for six years during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Gary went to work for Honeywell Aircraft in California, retiring in 2000. Gary and his family moved to Lake Havasu City a little more than seven years ago from Lakewood, Calif. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed tinkering with cars and was active in bowling leagues in California. He also enjoyed taking rides on his Harley. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Pauline; son, Michael Guild; daughter, Michelle Guild; and granddaughter, Kristina Guild, all of Lake Havasu City; and his mother, Betty Kaiser, of Long Beach, Calif. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. David Richardson will be offering words of comfort and inspiration. Military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s name can be made to a charity of your choice.
