Annie Coral Frost Webb, 91, of Lakeside, died peacefully at home May 3, 2006.
Coral was born March 10, 1915 in Snowflake, where she went to school. She met her future husband, Karl Webb, in Pinedale at age 18. They were married in the Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oct. 1933. Karl and Coral Webb were married for 72 years. Coral enjoyed serving others, baking, cooking, canning, sewing, gardening, and she loved to teach. She taught and studied health and nutrition for 55 years. Coral was continually learning and sharing her wealth of information throughout her life. She also taught seminary, relief society, primary, and MIA. Coral was very patriotic and she was an extremely prayerful person.
She had a deep love for nature, especially clouds and sunsets, and she passed that love onto her children. She served a mission locally with her husband at Cibecue and McNary. She was Counselor in the Presidency in the Southwest Indian Mission Relief Society. She worked for a short time at Nick's Variety Store in Show Low. Coral cared for four foster children, as well as her own five sons and daughters. She was a life member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Coral is survived by her sister Jean Gillespie of Lakeside; five children, Karlene Bailey (Don), of Mesa, Albert Le Van Webb (Miki), of Lakeside, Wendell Harrison Webb (Lucille), of Snowflake, Idon Johnson (Wayne), of Joseph City, and Nadean Perkins (Roy), of Snowflake; 44 grandchildren; 144 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Webb; eight brothers; one grandson Brand Perkins; and one great-grandson Roper Flake.
A viewing will be held Friday, May 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Owens Mortuary, Show Low. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at the Pinetop-Lakeside Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
