BELIN, Stanley Emmett


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/17/2006 Stanley Emmett Belin, 64, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 in Whitecone. He was born March 7, 1942 in Whitecone. He moved to Sherman, Calif. where he finished school. Following school he returned to Whitecone where he worked as a cook for the Whitecone Day School. He then moved to Idaho where he worked on a farm. In 1962 he returned to Whitecone and began working on a cattle and sheep ranch. Stanley is survived by his mother, Gladys Belin of Winslow; sisters, Sandra Begay of Winslow, Esther Duffy of Whitecone, Evelyn Nez of Indian Wells; cousins, Felipita George of Indian Wells, and Carmen Wilson of Farmington, New Mexico; uncles, Anthony Yazzie of Naschitti, New Mexico and Charlie Yazzie of Whitecone; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15 in Winslow. Interment was in the Winslow Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
