David Shawn Repella, 31, died Feb. 25, 2006 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Harford Township, Penn.
Dave, of Clifford, Penn. was born in Carbondale,Penn. to Nicholas Repella, Greensfield, Township,Penn. and Mrs. Allen (Shirley) of Show Low. He attended Lakeland High School in Penn. Dave was employed as a chef at Elk Mt. Ski Resort in Uniondale, Penn. He had also been employed by Milestone Quarry, Greenfield Township and was an experienced horse trainer and Ferrier. He was a member of the International Professional Rodeo Assoc., American Professional Rodeo Assoc. and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and a social member of the Lenox V.F.W.
Dave traveled throughout the U.S. where he participated in bull riding and saddle bronc-riding events at various rodeos receiving many awards. He also enjoyed building and driving Demolition Derby cars and was a member of the "Bad Boys Demo Team." He was a loving son, brother and uncle, who enjoyed being with his family and friends. His smile and great personality could brighten the darkest day. He was always willing to help others. His nieces and nephews loved him deeply. Dave will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is also survived by two brothers and their wives: Joseph and Kelly Repella of Montdale, Leon and Jennifer Repella, Jackson; and a sister and her husband, Rev. Elizabeth and Gerry Fornes, Vaneboro, N.C.; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
