Sharon Lee McNeil, mother, grandmother, sister and friend died peacefully at her daughter's home in Albuquerque, New Mexico March 14, 2006.
She was born July 10, 1945 in Grangeville, Idaho to Gracie Osborne and Lester Fields. As a young girl, her family moved around a while before settling in Show Low when she was a freshman in high school. It was there that she met and later married, Rex "Duke" McNeil. They had seven children during their marriage. Sharon lived in Show Low for most of her life, until last year when she decided to move to New Mexico to be closer to her daughter and family.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Stacy (Shawn) Spitzer; her sons, Shayne (Chris) of Chandler, Bo (Robyn) of Show Low, Calvin (Diane) of Dumfries, VA; grandchildren, Jessica, Chalen, Danny, Tyler, Bryanne, Brittany, Paige, Kaysci, Joshua, Ashleigh, Jacob, Jeff, Cathy, Seth and Taylor; her sister, Judy (Joe) Thompson of Madison, S.D.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Kevin, Rusty and Baby Boy McNeil; her mother, Gracie Kasten and brother, Norman Kasten, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25 at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
