Carl F. Ehrhardt passed away Sept. 30, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He was born March 23, 1934, in the Bronx in New York City to parents Karl and Irma Ehrhardt of Brewster, N.Y.
He attended Brewster High and New York State University. He served three years in the U.S. Army’s Research and Development Unit for Mobilization. He was a partner in Ehrhardt’s Auto Service, Debit Agent for Met-Life Inc. and then he moved to California where he managed auto and truck tire service centers in the greater Los Angeles area for major tire manufacturers for 25 years, and then he moved to Lake Havasu City and semi-retired. In 1989 and was then employed at Bradley Ford Service Department for seven years. He was a member of the Elks #2399, the Elks yacht club, as well as the American Legion Post #81.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Samy Ehrhardt; daughters Michele McGough of Lakewood, Calif., and Monique McKee of Torrance, Calif.; and grandchildren Sean Carl McGough and Megan Lanae McGough.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Society.
