Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, October 14, 2009 George A. Harlan, 70, passed away Oct. 11, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He was born to Hedric and Frieda (Warr) Harlan on June 21, 1939, in Pagosa Springs, Colo. George was a very talented artist who painted many creative murals in businesses and homes around town, some of which can be seen at Lakeview Family Dental, Just For Kids Dental and Shugrue’s. He loved snow skiing, water skiing and he especially loved Lake Powell. George leaves behind his beloved wife, Carolyn Harlan, of Lake Havasu City; sister, Linda Howe, of Cambria, Calif.; nephew, Brolin Howe, of Southern California; and his three dogs, Daisy, Missy and Lady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405, or Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
