She was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, the daughter of Mack McConley Halk and Sadie Marie Halk. She was preceded in death her husband Fred Arlen Greer and her brother Bill Halk. Mrs. Greer leaves daughters Tina Marie Edwards and Jeanie Louise Sanders, both of Cottonwood; sister Jean Evans (Ken) of Greensboro, North Carolina; and grand-daughters Brittany Marie Alstrom (Josh) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Ashley Marie Sanders and Kylee Ann Sanders, both of Cottonwood.
