Mary Elizabeth Odgers Valentine, 67
Mary Valentine, Mary Beth to her friends, passed away June 15, 2010. She was born in Globe, Arizona on Feb. 15, 1943.
Mary graduated from Miami High School in 1961. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Gary Grant Valentine. They moved to California in 1967 where Mary worked 35 years for Motorola, becoming the National Field Sales Assistant of the Year in 1980. In 1996, Mary and Gary returned to Arizona, settling in Tempe as Mary continued to work for Motorola until her retirement.
After retirement, Mary volunteered at Nevitt Elementary and worked extensively in her sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Alpha Kappa Chapter. She adored spending time with her grand children and her many close friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Gary, and survived by her son, Phil; brother, James Odgers of Flagstaff; and her two grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth and Grant William.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in her name to Bullion Plaza Museum in Miami, Arizona, American Cancer Society, or Hospice of the Valley.
Funeral services were held at Green Acres located at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale.
