HOOD, Robert (Bob) Angus


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, June 23, 2010 Robert “Bob” Angus Hood, Jr., 82, of Congress, Ariz., passed away Friday, June 18. Born in 1927 in Ohio, Bob was a corporal in the Army during the Korean War and spent his civilian years in the banking industry, during the beginnings of computer data technology, retiring in 1991. Bob was a friend to many and a stranger to none. He loved life and enjoyed sharing his love of music, knowledge of baseball, Scottish heritage, and deep faith with everyone he met. Bob could strike up a conversation on virtually any topic, with anyone, and gave of his time and knowledge unselfishly. An active member of his church family, Bob loved spending time with younger people and sharing his love of the piano and song. Bob enjoyed tracing his heritage and keeping in touch with members of his family worldwide. A trip to the Holy Land was one of the high points in Bob’s life of faith. Bob is survived by his wife of 26 years Loveta Ann Hood, brother Don, children, Lynnie (Glenn), Bob (Susan), Jeff (Shelly), Barb (Rick), and grandchildren, Christopher, Tabitha, Kele, Erin Marie and Ian. Bob also had a loving extended family of Chuck and Sue Cosgrove (April, Brandy, Craig, Kylee, Alexa, and Lyla) and Sam and Gwen Andazola (Alicia, Jordan, Rachele, and Joey). Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary. Services were held in Wickenburg, as well as Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home of Wickenburg.
