Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, September 14, 2009 Vivian (Maroni) McAnulty passed away Sept. 6, 2009, at Lake Hills Inn, Lake Havasu City, where she was a resident. She was 87 years old. Vivian was born in New Kensington, Pa., on Dec. 29, 1921, to Ubaldo and Filomena Maroni, immigrants of Italy. Vivian and husband Harold "Mac" moved from Pennsylvania to Southern California in l957 with their chi1dren Pau1a and James. She lived in El Monte and G1en Avon, Calif., after Harold’s death in 1975 and then on to Lake Havasu in 1995. She worked as a welder during the Second World War and in school cafeterias. She loved to cook and spent many hours in the kitchen at Glen Avon Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church, Lake Havasu. She is survived by her children Paula Nicklas of Lake Havasu, and James of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Stanley Maroni of Tarentum, Pa. Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, Calif., at 11 a.m. Sept. 16.
