Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, September 14, 2009 Thomas “Tom” Hunter, 92, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He was born on December 11, 1916, in Scotland to Thomas and Jean (Wright) Hunter. Tom and his wife, Veronica, moved to Lake Havasu City 20 years ago from Riverside, Calif. He worked for McDonnell Douglas as an electrical assembler. The most important person in Tom’s life was his wife, Veronica. She was the love of his life for 67 years and preceded him in death last year. Tom loved to sing and enjoyed everyone’s company. He was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing and especially gambling in Laughlin and Vegas. He most enjoyed his many family visitors from all over the world. Tom is survived by his sons, Don and Ken Hunter, both of Huntington Beach, Calif.; his daughter, Connie Jackson of Lake Havasu City; his grandchildren, Ann, Tom, Ryan, Scott, Zack, Alex, Lauren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two sisters. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 2825 War Eagle Dr., Lake Havasu City, on Saturday at 1 p.m. His family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
