Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, August 3, 2009 Margaret Ann Lange, 83, died peacefully at her home in Lake Havasu City Thursday, July 30, 2009. Marg, the daughter of Dale and Carrie Bates, was born April 27, 1926, in Flandreau, S.D. After her marriage to Wesley A. Lange in 1948, she moved just across the South Dakota border to Pipestone, Minn. She and Wes owned and operated the Spudnut Café there from 1959 to 1968, when they moved to Lake Havasu. One of Havasu’s early residents, she became employed by McCulloch Corp., where she worked until her retirement. Grateful for having shared her life, she leaves behind her sons, Rick, of Dove Creek, Colo., and Rob and Kevin, of Lake Havasu; daughters, Kerry Lange of Canton, S.D., and April Lange of Peoria, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley; and sisters, Argyl, Doris and Ann Margaret. Memorial services will be held Aug. 5, 3 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. The family has requested memorials to be directed to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
