Margaret V. Steimle passed away July 28, 2009, in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 69. She was born to Peter and Mary (Caravella) Volpe Feb. 3, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Margaret moved to Lake Havasu City 14 years ago from Huntington Beach, Calif., where she worked for McDonell-Douglas as an executive secretary for 26 years. She donated much of her time at Lakeview Community Church, the soup kitchen and also volunteered at the hospital and the Interagency Council. Margaret loved her family, friends, her cats, her home and her beloved friend Kate Kinney.
She leaves behind her daughter, Andrea Kathryn Stone; son, Richard Sheldon Stone; sisters, Carmella Coleman, Mary Wachowiak, Frances Wachowiak and Patricia Antrim; and beloved niece, Mary Jo Totman; as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Berry Steimle; brother, Angelo Volpe; and two sisters, Josephine Entwistle and Betty Harris.
A visitation will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by the services at 7 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Pastor Dale Ray will offer words of comfort and inspiration. Interment will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Havasu Regional Medical Center. They were angels in our time of need. And special thanks to Pastor Dale Ray and Pastor Marianne Ray for the prayers and support.
