The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/14/2006 Flora White, 73, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Navapache Regional Medical Center. She was born in East Fork where she grew up and attended East Fork Lutheran School and Fort Apache. Following school she met and married Bert White. They made their home in East Fork where Flora was a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker her whole life. Flora enjoyed sewing, beading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was active in her church and did many things for others in her Christian family as the mother of East Fork Miracle Church. She was saved under the ministry of the late Reverend Samuel Harris in 1956. Flora is survived by her children, Florinda R White, Doreen White, Leanna White and Delphina Albert, Dell White and Ardell White all of East Fork; brothers, Wallace Bourke of Carriso and Curtis Bourke of East Fork; 113 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert in 1995 and her son, Norbert in 1997. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15 at the East Fork Miracle Church. A two-night wake will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in the Manzanita Cemetery in East Fork. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
