Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Friday, July 10, 2009 Betty Zickefoose passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on July 14, 1926, in Smallwood, Md. Betty married Kermit Zickefoose, and they moved to Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., where she retired from civil services as an executive secretary. Betty has been a resident of Lake Havasu City for 29 years. She enjoyed making quilts, cooking, gambling and visits from her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her daughters; Brenda Perry, of Lake Havasu City; Linda Ranes and husband Tom, of Long Beach, Calif.; and granddaughters; Erika Kobagashi, of Anaheim, Calif., and Jessica Ranes, of Long Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit, on Oct. 8, 2002. Viewing will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Carol Sheffield officiating.
