Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Friday, July 10, 2009 Robert Cecil Jones passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 76. He was born to Ervin and Helen (Brown) Jones on April 29, 1933, in Tulsa, Okla. In 1976, Robert started his business, Jones Precision Auto in Lake Havasu. Prior to that, he owned a Mobil Gas Station in Cathedral City, Calif. Everyone in Lake Havasu City called him “Jonesy”. He loved to go fishing, boating camping and hunting. Robert especially loved his dogs. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Anita Jones, of Lake Havasu; son, Craig Jones, of Lake Havasu; daughter, Kathryn Hamilton and her husband Scott, of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Derrick Jones, Jimmie Jones, Macey Jones and Jade Hamilton. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
