Ronald Boyd Mattison, of Lake Havasu City, passed away with peace and dignity on July 4, 2009. He spent his last hours with his devoted wife, Jane, at his side. Ron was the second of three boys born in Beloit, Wis., on Oct. 10, 1931, to Rex and Ethel Mattison.
Ron joined the Air Force in 1951, where he was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. After the Air Force, he moved with his parents to Ontario, Calif. He began working for Southern California Edison in 1955, and shortly after met his future wife, Jane Naisbitt. They were married on Aug. 24, 1956, and lived in Ontario with their four children until Ron retired from Edison after 35 years of service. Ron and Jane moved to Lake Havasu City in 1990, where they enjoyed lake views and stunning sunsets.
Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years; two daughters, Linde Punzel and husband Jim, of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; Beth Mattison and husband Tim Colgan, of Paradise, Calif.; two sons, Tim, of Kemah, Texas, and Steve of Glendale; a younger brother, Marvin and wife Shari; sister-in-law, Doris Mattison; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, Robert.
