HAGENBUCH, Edward, III


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, July 9, 2009 Edward Hagenbuch, III passed away June 28, 2009, in Lake Havasu City. He was born May 12, 1930 in Shamokin, Pa., to Edward and Ida (Sensenbach) Hagenbuch. Ed served four years in the Navy as a radio operator. There he became interested in ham radios, an interest that lasted the rest of his life. He married Dot Gibson on June 9, 1956. They had their 53rd anniversary a couple of weeks ago. He completed his education after he was married, and graduated with a B.S. majoring in math from LaSalle University. To Ed Hagenbuch, his family was the most important thing. Even when he was laid off from work he would organize weekend events to parks and beaches. He loved photography, ham radios, Nascar races, camping, and old movies, classic music turned up loud and opera. He loved to socialize with everyone either at church or home. He had a very good sense of humor. He enjoyed his beer. He loved his dogs to the point they were just a little spoiled. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Hagenbuch, children Beth Breton and Edward Hagenbuch IV, and grandchildren William E. Rowen, Danielle B. Rowen, Danielle Garner, and Eddy Hagenbuch V. He is preceded in death by his parents Ida and Ed Hagenbuch. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church on July 11 at 10 am, and will be officiated by Pastor John Maki.
